If you have found a cat, please report it as soon as possible, if it is not friendly, please contact Catcare regarding traps and advice. We are not able to take in every cat as we only have limited foster homes, and young and abandoned cats take priority but we will do everything we can to help, so please call or message us.

I was born at this property and have been given a lot of love and attention as my mother taught me to be friendly to people. I still come over for a pat and scratch every time I see my owners and can be easily moved between paddocks as I would follow a bucket of sheep nuts without any hesitation. I have fathered quite a few lambs over this time and majority of them were twins. I am Texel X Gotland Pelt and I've got the most amazing white wool. The Gotland Pelt girls I have been with produced black lambs, but my lambs with Texel, Finn and other white coloured girls are white.
It is time for me to now move to another family as my owners are now running out of girls they can let me run with.
Please come and meet me if you are interested, my owners' contact is 027 276 2838.
Price: $120

St Albans and Mairehau residents have joined local businesses in opposing proposed changes that would channell traffic to and from the $240 million motorway past their doors when it opens in 2020.
Locals, including Christchurch Central MP Duncan Webb, have made submissions and more than 100 others have launched a petition asking the Christchurch City Council to rethink how to link the motorway to the central city.
"Why are Christchurch residents having to be disadvantaged by traffic from North Canterbury being forced down our roads?," the petition asks.
"These are people from a different district that don't pay rates here, but the residents and business in St Albans, Mairehau and Edgeware are paying the costs socially and financially to accommodate these people so they can get to or from the city a few minutes faster."

Sgt Raymond Purdy was in the Metropolitan Police, he was shot and killed in the line of duty chasing a suspect on 12th July 1959. The suspect was captured by police, and was the last man to be hanged for killing a police officer.
A friend of a colleague, knowing the area where Sgt Purdy was killed went to look for the Police Memorial TRust plaque. However there wasn’t one!!! Contacting the Police Memorial Trust they were surprised to find the dedication of Sgt. Purdy hadn’t been remembered and recognised and are acting to recognise his loss with a memorial plaque; the plaque is almost complete.
It transpires that Sgt. Purdy’s wife and children moved to New Zealand and now we are trying to locate existing relatives so that they can be contacted about a memorial to Sgt Purdy.
The Police Memorial Trust in UK would love to speak with them.. The Trust can be contacted at www.ukpolicememorial.org...
Can I ask NZ residents to please help us find Sgt. Purdys family, please pass this message on to your friends and relatives so we get nationwide coverage and the best chance of finding this family.
Many Thanks
