Important tips from NZTA:
- Bear in mind localised events and winter conditions
- Allow extra time as weather and road conditions can change in a relatively short period of time at this time of year
- Make sure your vehicle is ready for winter driving and stocked with food, water and blankets in case of any delays.
- Central Otago drivers: The Brass Monkey Rally, Idaburn Dam, Oturehua: Please take care whether you are in a car or on a motorbike with many more motorcyclists using the highways leading to and from Idaburn Dam this long weekend.

My daughter has recently moved off her farm and is now living in a built up area in a Rental property. She thought the farm cats, 2 deserved girls about 7 yr old, would be OK but sadly its not working. They are used to fending for themselves and are great hunters of Rabbits, mice and rats. She thought the farm cats, 2 deserved girls about 7 yr old, would be OK but sadly its not working. They are used to fending for themselves and are great hunters of Rabbits, mice and rats. She used to leave Whiska's Nuts and water for them but they are pretty self sufficient. They need a farm where there is a shed or a hay barn for them to make a warm bed in. Great with children but NOT inside cats.
