The intruders don't charge the dispensing fee to lure customers in but they still have to pay it to the government. I know in many households money is tight and 5 Dollars can go a long way. But if you can - please continue to support our local pharmacists. I would hate to lose the knowledge many of these pharmacists have accumulated and I have saved many doctors visits by simply talking to our pharmacist. I go to Hei Hei pharmacy in Wycola Ave.
I have a pair of tickets to the Topp Twins on June 26th at the Lincoln Event centre. I have to go out of town that week so I can't use them. $90 for the pair. They cost me $49 each, so you save a bit of money. The show is sold out otherwise.

This year we are hoping to find someone that will come to the courts where we play and take out … View moreHornby Netball Club would be interested in talking to anyone that is relatively savy with a camera and would be keen to take some photos of our netball teams on a Saturday at Hagley Netnball Courts. This year we are hoping to find someone that will come to the courts where we play and take out club team photo's. It could be any time on a Saturday from 8:15 (our very young FF teams and U12 team that play at this time) through to 2:30pm to have any of our age grade teams have their picts taken before they play at 3:05pm. I would know in advance the game times of all our other teams so over about 3-4 Saturdays we could potentially have all teams photo's taken. Hagley Park is looking really lovely with their trees and all the leaves on the ground and we would like something a little different this year for our club pic's. The Lincoln High School Sustainability Council have devised several craft activities and simple science experiments for our annual KidsFest Event. This year children are invited to explore fresh water through hands on interactive craft and science, they will learn about the life to be found on and in our water and the importance of this precious resource. This craft morning is truly a community experience with the older students getting as much out of it through their organizing and mentoring as the younger ones doing the activities and the learning.

How's your community doing after the floods? Are you satisfied with the emergency response?
It's been over a week since 400% of the monthly average rainfall caused flooding in Canterbury, with multiple districts plunged into a state of emergency.
River engineers are working across the region, with sites being strengthened by machinery. Environment Canterbury Rivers manager, Leigh Griffiths, says that teams are continuing to monitor rainfall and river levels across the region.
"We're working closely with Civil Defence and the MetService to monitor the situation and will be posting rainfall and river flow updates on our website as the situation develops. We suggest that people avoid rivers and check the road conditions before travelling," he said.
The weather event triggered a state of emergency, hundreds of evacuations, and closed roads and bridges throughout the region. The red heavy rain warning was issued on Saturday night, the second since the warning's inception.

Christchurch residents are upset at the state of the city’s roads and chlorine in the water as the council’s approval rating hits a 14-year low.
Just 49 per cent of people are satisfied with services provided by the city council, according to the organisation’s annual residents survey.
The figure is marginally worse than the 50 per cent reported last year, but is way down from the 62 per cent in 2019 and 79 per cent in 2007 when the question was first asked.

Flood-hit Ashburton Bridge on SH1 has now closed and there is currently no alternate route south with other road options also closed.
Ashburton Mayor Neil Brown said the water in the Ashburton River had got into the piles of the bridge, causing a subsidence in the piles.

Ashburton Mayor Neil Brown said the water in the Ashburton River had got into the piles of the bridge, causing a subsidence in the piles.
“The bridge has dropped and you can visually see one section of the bridge is dropped about four to six inches."
Engineers would assess the bridge to see what was required to fix it.
The bridge closure had divided the town into town and cut off part of the South Island. Staff were working hard to open one route by Tuesday night to get south of Ashburton.
