The southeast corner of the square in front of the Spark Building, Distinction Hotel and Old Government Building will be upgraded over the coming weeks.
Contractors will level the ground, re-lay paving, install additional lighting and street furniture, plant more trees and create landscaped areas that Christchurch City Council described as “rain gardens”.

I was actually looking for a recycling center that takes old mattresses but can not find one. If anyone wants it they are welcome to it for free. It's about 10 years old and is covered in stains from my cat who I got at the same time. Tried many times to wash it but stains never came out.
