Over the lifetime of a standard mortgage you will very likely pay as much or more interest than the amount you actually borrow but by using standard bank tools, it is possible to halve the cost of the interest charged on your mortgage even for those on a modest income?
Money not spent on mortgage interest increases your cash flow and enables you to pay off your debt much sooner than you could have dreamt.
The Halswell Community Project has asked Linda Hart to come and talk to us about mortgages and the different ways in which they are, and can be structured and what strategies can help us alongside the mortgage.
Linda has 14 years’ experience helping people to reduce their debt. She is happy to share her knowledge and answer questions. If the concept interests people, she offers a further free consultation and analysis of your personal mortgage situation , so you can assess whether you want to use her assistance and see a brighter future. We will have $2, $5, $10 & $20 + tables PLUS a silent auction; bric-a-brac i.e. kitchen items, ornaments, vases, lamps, books, clothes, shoes, jewellery, craft supplies, entertainment ie games, jigsaw puzzles, sporting equipment.
There will also be vegan baking, raffles, face painting, tombola, kitten cuddles and more
Pss tried to to an event but would not work, so if you have any questions please ask as the event was a great success last year and enjoyed by all who came. We want to make it better.

He has had vet checks, been wormed fortnightly since he was 2 weeks old, and will have had his first vaccination.
He will be ready to go to his forever home after 22 March.

Being cold and uncomfortable at night really wrecks a good sleep.
And a bad sleep more often than not translates into a bad day, especially for school age children.
Just past the SOTK live some chickens who have become refugees now that the bush they lived under was consumed by the flames.

They are lovely chickens, 3 female and one singed rooster, who are now camping under a tree, at the carpark where the summit road that goes past the SOTK takes a hard left.
We have been feeding them in their last abode for the past 6 months or so, but they are very exposed where they are now.
I think like any other refugees they would appreciate some sort of shelter, and some food if anyone would like to help them.
Its quite fun going up and giving them our scrap bowl, and some grain, maybe other Samaritans would like the outing as well.
BTW the Sign of the Kiwi and summit road seems totally open!
