Cochlear Implant Petition

We all tend to take our hearing for granted, that is until it deteriorates. For many Kiwis (and others around our world) a Cochlear Implant is the only option for hearing... your help is needed to ensure more Kiwi's have the opportunity to hear.

Take 1 minute to sign this online petition for funding... link below.

Thank you

In Summary: A lot of New Zealanders would benefit from having a cochlear – they need to be referred as soon as their hearing starts deteriorating. There is a lack of funding however the government would end up making more money back in tax as the recipient is more likely to be employed after a CI. Therefore they have potentially years of paying tax instead of claiming a benefit.

It is more successful in those that get the CI as soon as they lose their hearing.

Would be great if you could sign the petition for more funding

You can also support CI recipient, Lewis Williams petition calling on increased funding of cochlear implants for adults, by signing and sharing the following link:

Dear Canterbury and the West Coast - ANZAC Day will look a little different for us this year - however there are many ways for you to acknowledge the incredible men and women who have served our communities and given their lives for our country.

We invite you to share a memory or photo to commemorate this special day on Neighbourly below. It could be a story of a member in your family who served - or perhaps the way you and your family celebrate ANZAC Day each year. (It might even be a photo of your freshly baked can't be-beaten ANZAC cookies).

We also invite you to take part in Stand at Dawn and join us at 6:00 am on Saturday 25 April. Stand at your letterbox, at the front door, in your lounge rooms, balconies, in your driveway. Wherever you are in the world, stand with us and take a moment to remember our fallen – but please stay within your ‘bubble’.

We have sold exclusively New Zealand made furniture since our founding back in 1956. It is our lifeblood, and we are passionate about supporting the local furniture industry and the jobs that it creates in our community.

The shutdown has hit our manufacturers hard, and once it is safe to open our showroom again (Level 2), we want to help kickstart the economy and ensure that no jobs are lost because of a slow restart.

For four weeks from the start of Level 2, we will offer the following incentives:

For the first time in our history, we will offer 10% off ALL non-clearance sales - including made-to-order orders, and floorstock sales.

We will also offer free delivery on all furniture to anywhere in New Zealand.

You can already browse products on our website and we are available remotely to answer any questions you might have.
