I want to apologise with all my heart to the mayor and her three sisters for any harm or hurt caused them as seems they where not true. Turns out was disgrunted workman out to cause problems. I should have made sure all the facts where true before posting. I am very sorry for any pain this caused. It was my mistake for not checking all facts before posting. One thing I have learned is never post anything without checking all facts or in anger. Our mayor is not or has never been involved in anything to do with HNZ homes, nor have her sisters. I asccept all responsibility for the fact that post was wrong and untrue and all I can do is say sorry and always double check facts before posting.

Response teams have headed out to Opawa and Southshore to check on residents and let them know that a welfare centre has opened at Linwood College if they need somewhere to go tonight.

Contractors have arrived at Southshore with the fill to close up low points where water has got through.

Information in from NIWA shows this afternoon's tide was the highest ever recorded at Bridge St. At this stage, we believe the record-breaking level was due to a low pressure weather system coming on top of a spring tide, and heavy rainfall. Although the spring tide and rainfall were expected, the unusually low pressure wasn't forecast. This accounted for 0.4M of the tidal height. Preliminary assessment is that this extreme tide level may be equivalent to a 1/200 year event (a probability of occurring once in every 200 years).

We are keeping a close eye on the high tide due around 3am tomorrow. At this stage we don't expect this to be as high as this afternoon's high tide, but we will post an update at 9pm tonight.

We are due for more rain tomorrow. Contractors will be out over the weekend checking grates and drains so the stormwater network can work effectively.

Whilst chatting with local councillor Ali Jones about my offer to people who have damaged homes from the quakes on facebook and where ive posted it people are commenting positively up to 50 atm thought it would be timely to also do the same on here.

Reach out to people have some community spirit during this weather event and afterwards.

Some people and their pets need a break. A warm dry home in your house, some home cooking, a meal out, some company, a goodie basket, to be taken to the movies, a day trip somewhere, a haircut, a vet visit, dog groom, dr visit, just to be listened to, a change of scenery, some work done around their home, new friends, any nice thing you could think of. Use your imagination.

Its time to pull together again christchurch. If your interested please comment.

If anyone can help me set up a database to match people up to be used in all events and situations that would be awesome.

Lets show our love towards one another and community spirit again.

Kiaha kaha in this rain event xx

I can also teach healthy cooking classes for adults or children, and I can cater special events and dinner parties, and even make cakes! I teach Hatha, children's, and prenatal yoga as well. I will be teaching ten-week term classes of Hatha yoga at the beginner (6 pm) and intermediate (7 pm) levels on Tuesdays, beginning the 25th of July, at the Bishopdale YMCA, so feel free to sign up for either of those. As I start adding in more public classes, I will enter them into the schedule tab of my website, so you can always check there to see what's being offered. You can also always schedule things with me privately and directly! My website with more info is www.juliagrueskin.com...

These homes are already occupied. She got them for $250,000 each which is really cheap. This is back door dealing and was wondering why where not offered to those living in them first. Was told she had the choice of all at same price regardless how big and what state. She chose the best. Talk about corruption. Used the fact her sister is mayor of Chch to get in through back door
