All three councillors from Fendalton-Waimairi-Harewood received in excess of 70% votes; hence clear margin over rivals. On the other hand, the closest race was in Halswell where the two top candidates have 3756 and 3580 votes (less than 200 margin).
Cr. Aaron Keown got more votes as a Council candidate (5309) than as a Community Board candidate (4605). On the other hand, Cr. Catherine Chu got less votes as a Council Candidate (2392) than as a Community Board candidate (2779).
Perhaps Gamal Fouda (Community Board - Riccarton) is the 'luckiest' candidate - getting elected with 'just' 1113 votes. This is because the top ranked Community Board candidate also won as a Councillor, hence 'vacated' the Community Board member seat.
Christchurch had 41.07% voter return. The wards with highest voter turnout are: Banks Peninsula (52.7%), Cashmere (48.85%) and Fendalton (47.57%); while the least turnout was at Linwood (33.23%), Central (33.43%), Riccarton (35.30%).

She still has to pay $700 on it yet so a double whammy for her. Obviously she is very distressed as she has no money to pay the outstanding balance and has lost her moped.....
