We’ve also been proudly supporting the Heart Foundation since 2007. This Friday we’re handing over our 50th home built for the Heart Foundation lottery.

With 35 years in the industry you can count on us ‘seeing it all before’ and that’s why we’re keen to share our skills, passion, and knowledge within our local communities.

We’re extending an invitation to Neighbourly members in your area to a free and locally run information session, open to any new-home builder, no matter what level of experience. Book a complimentary seat now for your local info session.

MetService have issued an alert to the potential development of severe thunderstorms with large hail and damaging winds tonight.

Heavy and thundery showers are forming over the high country north of Christchurch. These are then expected to drift southeast and there is a possibility that some of these may be severe, bringing downpours, hail larger than 20mm, strong wind gusts and possibly small tornadoes. These storms may affect Canterbury from Christchurch northwards as indicated on the chart.

Wind gusts of this strength can cause some structural damage, including trees and power lines, and may make driving hazardous. If any tornadoe s occur, they will only affect very localised areas. Rainfall of this intensity can cause flash flooding, especially about low-lying areas such as streams, rivers or narrow valleys, and may also lead to slips. Driving conditions will also be hazardous with surface flooding and poor visibility in heavy rain.

For more information go to www.metservice.com...
This alert is valid until 8pm, 10 October 2017.
