Hi neighbours,

Be aware, police have identified a new telephone scam targeting New Zealanders. If you receive an angry call from someone seeking compensation for car damages, hang up. To read more, click here.

What you need to know:
- The call will be from an international number that's then redirected through a local number.
- The aggressive scammer could be very convincing.
- Upon answering, they demand money for damages from a vehicle collision they claim you were involved in.
- Police are urging people to warn elderly relatives so they do not fall victim to the scam and lose money.
- If you receive a call of this nature, police advise you to hang up immediately.

When: Saturday the 17th November 2018
Time: 8am,

We are holding a garage sale to raise funds for a trip to auckland to meet with liver transplant teams and catch up with the kidney teams at starship for our 7 year old daughter etc so we can hopefully finally get the transplants she needs. Feel free to look up her story and what she has been though by searching on face book for: Keiras world or @ the hubballs. There will be more about the garage sale on there also.
We just ask becouse things can be hectic with our girl 8am is the start time and please be respectful no door knocking if we are not outside and ready for people thanks.

Maybe you just want to help in some way and not fill your house with more stuff, We have had a few people donate some items they no longer need for the garage sale if you or know of somebody who might be willing to pass on a item or items feel free to get in touch. We really appreciate it. All items not sold will be passed on again to a charity.
Thanks Vickie

One terrified, elderly dog shaking uncontrollably, not to mention the dense canopy of huge macrocapa and conifers adjoining the property where the embers potentially settled. When asked to stop he hid behind "the law allows it" rather than consideration for neighbours. What is to be done about these people?

I have a caravan, a Gulf not a common make but well made. You'll see details in the Reg photo and WOF photo. The electrical WOF is up to date too. It's a four berth with a slightly different configuration to usual caravans which allows more storage space. The double bed is formed by lowering the table and inserting the squab to fit and your bedding. The squabs have been recovered and new drapes (well two years old). The cooking top has been replaced with a more modern gas cooker and the water tank has also been replaced. It comes with a porch style awning which is free standing on expandable frame. The awning does not cover the entire side of the caravan. There is also a windbreak. The asking price is $7000. It's a sturdy caravan and has served me well over the years. Having to part with it as now have nowhere to store.

The cover over the caravan comes with it and there are plates, cooking utensils, etc on board too. Let me know if you are interested and arrangements can be made for you to have a closer look. Cheers, Chris

Price: $7,000
