Hello neighbours! I'm Sam from Stuff Fibre (on the left) - and that's my mate Casey, Neighbourly's co-founder. As a couple of tech start-up founders, we're really excited to have joined forces to help make a difference in every corner of New Zealand.

Neighbourly do it by connecting you with your neighbours - Stuff Fibre is doing it by providing a better, simpler internet experience. Stuff Fibre delivers super speedy internet supported by local customer service from our team in Auckland (wahoo!), unlimited data and no fixed term contracts so that you get our best price always. Over the coming weeks and months we'll be working with Neighbourly to help you understand about what this 'fibre stuff' is all about and why it should matter to you. In the meantime - it's great to be here!

Curious? Find out more about how we're shaking things up.

Heading along to tonight's Night Noodle Markets? Help the planet while you're at it – Christchurch is trialling compostable packaging for the food and drink available at the Night Noodle Markets this year – which means a lot less waste for the landfill.

If it's brown - it will break down.
Look for the ECO symbol and put it in the green bin.
All other packaging goes into the red bin.

The ECO symbol means "Event Compostable Only" – make sure you bin it at the event, and not at home.

Are you interested in getting a bit more involved in your community but perhaps feeling a bit short of time and unable to commit to regular voluntary work?
Are you already quite involved in your community and keep noticing that there are things that you would like to get done around your house that you never seem to have time for?
Does your community group need a few more volunteers or want to keep track of volunteer time?
Do you need help from time to time but are not sure there is anyone you can ask?

If your answer to any of these questions is “Yes” then Timebanking might be able to help.
At Addington Timebank we aim to recognise the work that many people put into their community and community organisations. People recognise and thank others for the help they have been given by recording time credits. If you are interested in finding out more check out our website below or phone Chrys on 0272 86 86 53. We are happy to come and talk to you about how the Timebank works and how it could work for you or your organisation!

HPV-related cancers take a long time to develop, the viruses are mostly transmitted by teenagers and young adults but often aren’t diagnosed until later. That’s why it’s important for children to be immunised when they are young. Around 80% of people will be exposed to HPV at some point in their life. Protecting children before they are exposed to HPV will protect their health in the future.
