Fire and Emergency New Zealand
Every year, over 11,000 brave men and women keep us safe. Most of them are working full-time jobs. Many are parents or grandparents. When the siren sounds, they all come running.
If you know a fire volunteer, this is your chance to say thanks. #cheerstothevolunteers

Do you have a story about a playhouse you had as a child? Or do your kids have a favourite activity they love to do in their playhouse? Let us know in the comments! For us, it’s dragging out all the old blankets and pillows we could find and curling up reading our favourite books!

Unfortunately it passed instantly, although thankfully it wouldn't have suffered. I took the cat to the after hours vet but the cat didn't have a microchip. The vet believed it was a spayed female, it was black but with a distinctive white mark between its back legs. It was quite a large cat with a heavy build. It was hit at the intersection of Awatea Rd and The Runway. The cat will be held at the SPCA for 7 days so I desperately want to find the owner. If you know of anyone in the Wigram area that is missing a black cat please let me know. I have a photo but won't post, I can send privately if requested.
