Now is the time after the little irises have had a rest following flowering season to plant new rhizomes, so they can get their roots down over the Summer ready for an October bloom.
Bearded iris like the sun, and the frost too. Easy care.
Suitable for a pot, or garden border or rockery.

Now is the time to plant the rhizomes after the plants have flowered and had a rest. They will bulk up over the Summer and come out in flower early in October next year. Always a lovely surprise as the Miniature Dwarf Bearded Irises are one of the first to flower.

This is a nicely established plant potted up last season and ready to slip into a place in your garden.
Bearded iris are easy to grow, especially this one. They do like the sun and a good frost is welcome too. It hardens the outside of the rhizome which likes to sit on top of the soil.

My parent clump is in flower at the moment. It is a late blooming iris.
Bearded Iris are easy to grow. They like to sunbathe and are frost hardy.They like the sun and a well drained spot in the garden but this plant survived some serious soggy ground this past winter.
Plant them with rhizomes sitting on top of the soil. This one could be eased out of its pot and put straight in the ground.
