Wairarapa’s premier creativity, arts and cultural festival, Kokomai, returns in October with an exciting
line-up.
The 10-day long biennial festival will run from 10-19 October and include events located across the Wairarapa, from rural halls, churches and larger venues such as the Carterton Events Centre.

Since 2013, Kokomai Creative Festival has been bringing world class, inspiring creative arts and entertainment to local communities in the Wairarapa.
The 2019 festival will differ slightly from previous years with fewer events but still maintain an impressively diverse programme, says Jo Beetham, Wairarapa Arts Festival Trust chair.
“This year’s festival is more user-friendly for festival goers. We’ve taken on board feedback from previous years about clashing performances on key nights during the festival,” Jo says.
“Kokomai is a bit more boutique this time around, and we are super excited about the line-up which is world-class with international, national and local artists and performers, providing exceptional live experiences.
“You can immerse yourself in music, theatre, dance, visual arts, film and literature – there is something for everyone.”
Headlining the international acts is American blues singer Greg Copeland.

Hi Neighbours,
My daughter and Moko are moving over to the lovely Wairarapa she has been given the opportunity to live just out the back of Featherston in a farm house.
The down fall is its all wooden floors does anyone have any good quality floor rugs they would like to part with/sell at a very reasonable price.
She is also in need of a queen size bed and a single bed as well as draws for clothing all the old ones she has are old and broken.
If anyone can help or has any ideas where we could get support from to get these things second hand good quality and at a fair price it would be very much appreciated.
Lastly has anyone got any boxes they want to get rid of for packing.
regards
Lana
