Teeth and gums and the whole oral cavity are an area that if neglected, maltreated, and "taken for granted" will invariably end up causing pain, tooth loss, bone loss and if diseased, have links to various "body health" issues.

Dental decay can cause tooth loss, swelling of the face, pain, sleep loss, and overall a wee bit of misery.
Gum disease in a minor form can cause bad breath, bleeding gums, pain, "looking long in the tooth".
Gum disease in a major form have links to diabetes, heart disease, lung conditions, and strokes, also premature birth.
Most of these dental conditions can be caught early - x-rays, check-ups, a filling or two and some regular clean ups. Just like a Warrant of fitness for the car, but even better, as you have to keep your current model (yourself for 80-90 years) or more.
For more information give us a call, come in and see us, or get going to a dentist near you.

Looking forward to hearing from you in the future.

The hygienist usually will scale and polish your teeth, removing build ups of plaque, tartar, and calculus, along with some surface stains. Hygienists also use pressured water to flush bacteria out from underneath the gum line, to prevent build-up of decay-causing bacteria along the roots of the teeth.

In your appointment, the hygienist can talk to you about your at home oral hygiene routine, and what methods and products you can employ in order to achieve the best results. The hygienist can also instruct you on the impact your life style (such as diet, smoking habits, etc.) has on your teeth, and offer solutions to improve your current oral condition.
