"Siam came in my cat door six years ago with this sponge in his mouth and dropped it at my feet as a gift for me. His owner gave him to me because he just refused to go and six years on, he still brings the same sponge to me every night. I'm pretty sure it is the equivalent of roses in his mind."
Remember if you want your pet featured on Neighbourly, email us on yourpet@dompost.co.nz with a recent photo. Please remember to say what suburb you live in.

Affectionally is known as 'the poor man's Spitfire', these aircraft were used for decades by a number of Air Forces to train pilots. Many exist today around the world in civilian ownership, including around 12 in New Zealand. We will have at least 3 examples on display, including the very aircraft that Prince Philip learned to fly in.

The Kittyhawk Cafe will be open and we can offer joyrides in 1940s vintage open-cockpit Tiger Moth biplanes.

This event is weather permitting.

Digital Seniors is looking for volunteers to help seniors with their digital devices.

You don’t have to be a tech wizard; we are looking for people with a working knowledge of how the average phone or tablet works (and can explain it to others). Above all, we’re looking for someone kind, patient, and who wants to really make a difference in the life of a senior.

Volunteering with us is very rewarding and is a fantastic way to meet and get to know some of the amazing seniors in our community as well as joining a very special team of volunteers.

We’d need you for a few hours a week – we need volunteers to help in the following locations.
Masterton (at the Library) – Wednesdays from 10 am – 12 pm
A Masterton Rest Home– Fridays from 10:30 am – 12 pm
A Carterton Rest Home – Monday’s from 10 am – 12 pm

If you would like more information please call 0800 373 646 or email sarah.wright@digitalseniors.co.nz

A gaggle of Digital Seniors coaches. Help seniors and join our fabulous team!
