At this time, they will review the temporary closure against Government edict.

Please note that we do this for the sake of our Stallholders, who, on the whole, are over the threshold and, as such, mostly elderly. To this, we are not willing to place them, or others at risk and as such this decision was voted on and is now being implemented.

I will keep you appraised on further developments as we get closer to the end of April period. I will not be accepting any further casual bookings until this threat is well and truly in hand.

With kindest regards,
on behalf of the Management Team

Denise Tanner
dated this 18th day of March, 2020

Note: Any stalls open onsite and trading, will be answerable to the Market, or the Sanson Community Committee, the leaseholders, for the Junction Motel carpark and/or the Hotel tarmac area. Fines for the amount of the leasse will be attriuted to those in violation of this.

People not being able to keep their pets as they are unable to find housing with them is a real issue. We were approached by Jenny Salesa's office and are now in communication with them about my situation. We also got on 3 news! So a very successful trip.
There are 1899 families in motels, 42,000 officially homeless, 150,000 sleeping rough. From $52 million to (expected to rise to) $300 million in 2 years in government assistance. Homelessness is a real problem in NZ. We are all paying for it in taxes. Paying for motel rooms is not the answer.
People shouldn't be punished for housing themselves. There aren't enough houses for everyone but everyone deserves a home.
