But KidsCan is helping. Since October they've been delivering five … View moreIn our own backyard, our youngest kids are going without the basics. Unlike schools, early childhood centres don’t have a nationwide support programme. Children under 5 are at the most crucial age for brain development.
But KidsCan is helping. Since October they've been delivering five fresh meals a week to 25 early childhood centres, and kitting out kids with new raincoats and shoes. They want to extend the programme, so no one misses out on learning.
KidsCan, Neighbourly and Stuff have partnered up to raise enough money to feed and clothe 1000 more children under five. To support a child, sign up at KidsCan.org.nz.

SIT & Club Development
For the past few years Appleby Cricket has developed a solid relationship with SIT to help strengthen playing numbers with many players from outside the region. We are hoping this relationship can continue…. #STANDUPFORSIT. SIT’s support has been invaluable for the Club to field three competitive senior level teams. This new production of the Andrew Lloyd Webber masterpiece will visit 16 cities nationwide in April and May. As well as, being the first major theatrical performance at the $127.5 million refurbished Christchurch Town Hall it will also visit Auckland and Wellington and many of the larger regional theatres throughout New Zealand - details below.
Since its world premiere, CATS has been presented in over 30 countries and has been seen by over 73 million people worldwide. CATS is based on Old Possum's Book of Practical Cats by T. S. Eliot. The musical tells the story of a tribe of cats called the Jellicles and the night they make what is known as "the Jellicle choice" and decide which cat will ascend to the Heaviside Layer and come back to a new life.

This month is all about bringing your community together and having a great time! We want March to be all about celebrating the connections we have while making new ones along the way. As we all know, what makes a neighbourhood great isn't the houses and cars, gardens and streets - it's the people who share their presence and aroha with each other.
A wonderful way to take part is to participate in Neighbours Day Aotearoa which is celebrating it's 10th anniversary from March 22nd to 31st. To help you get started, we love their suggestions for 10 little and 10 big ways to get involved. (link below)
