An Auckland family were left fearing for their lives on Friday when raging floodwaters uprooted several trees and brought them crashing down into their North Shore home.

Sherrie Edwards was trying to clear some flood water which had made its way down her driveway in Northcote on Friday evening when she heard a “massive crack”.

“It was then followed by a ‘whoosh’ and I looked up, and I was like ‘oh my god’. The whole side of the bank had gone,” Edwards said.

As a semi retired driving instructor I used to own one of Auckland's well known driving schools. I am now offering people my driving lessons experience for free with all the tips and tricks on how to pass a driving test. Most parents do a great job of coaching their children but don't have the tools to get up to test standard. Tips like how to navigate roundabouts and do observation points, lane changing procedures, flush medians, merging, speed zones, how and when to do the MIB - men in black procedures etc and the list goes on.

Please Note : I am trying out this new strategy to save people heaps on driving lessons and also it's a neighbourly gesture so learners can pass their test at VTNZ and avoid critical errors.
