The weekend before last (Sunday 3/11/19), his addiction literally sent him over the edge. He blindly chased a ball off a bank landing a couple of metres below onto the road. To be fair, and in his defence, I recall a similar moment of stupidity myself skiing. But that's another story.
Off to Animal A&E (nearby thankfully) where first x-rays were taken. The next day a specialist confirmed surgery would be needed.
Diagnosis - severe carpal injury
Treatment plan - Right pancarpal arthrodesis
Please help if you can towards surgery and follow-up care for Rupert.

The warnings come after yesterday's deluge of rain that overloaded parts of the storm and wastewater networks. A black alert indicating a very high risk of illness from swimming was issued for Castor Bay just after 3pm yesterday.
It's recommended that people do not enter the water while the warnings are in place.
