Did you walk across the Auckland Harbour Bridge when it first opened in 1959? Work on the construction of the clip-on lanes in 1969? Collect tolls from drivers until the bridge became free in 1984?

We’re researching stories for our Tāmaki Herenga Waka: Stories of Auckland exhibition opening next year and want to hear from anyone with early memories of the Auckland Harbour Bridge and how it changed life for Aucklanders, especially on the North Shore.

Email us at haveyoursay@aucklandmuseum.com if you have an interesting story you’d like to share.

Hi everyone,

Space for hire at great rates (considering location).

St Stephen's Ponsonby [corner of Shelley Beach and Jervois] has a big wooden-floored hall available to hire out for short or long-term clients.

It's perfect for children's programs, martial arts, dance or whatever. It's a pretty decent size space (and beautiful native kauri floors and walls 😜).

We have some great clients, new and those who have been with us for a while. We have just had a prime time open up on Saturday mornings or afternoons (terms and conditions apply).

If you have a group and need a space give us a ring and talk to Rachel.

ststephensponsonby@gmail.com

We also have Monday day and evening spots available.
