Age: Between 1 and 3 (on vet estimate)
Desexed/microchipped: Yes
Temperament: Shy but can blossom into a smoochy, darling cat in the right home with patient and caring owners
Children/other pets: She should be fine with sensible children over 12, and should be fine with other calm pets in the home (after proper introduction)
Access: She will need to be an indoor-only cat or supervised outdoors as she has no teeth, so won't be able to fully defend herself against other animals
Ideally, Mama is looking for a quiet home where she can have the time and space she needs to adjust and learn that humans aren't so scary.
Mama was found raising her three kittens under a shed in June 2022 and has been fostered by me ever since. Once her kittens were grown and rehomed, we discovered she suffered from a painful disorder called Feline Stomatitis, which caused her body to attack her teeth and gums.
After a major surgery removing all of her teeth, Mama is now healthy and thriving and is looking for a loving home to spend her retirement in after going through such tough times!
She still happily eats biscuits and wet food.
When she was initially found, she was absolutely terrified of people and likely has lived on the streets her whole life. However, in the last few months, she's taken amazing strides and is bound to get even better once she's settled into her forever home.
If you're interested in meeting Mama, please message me.

The current age of voting is 18 in New Zealand and lobby group Make It 16 have been running a youth-led campaign advocating for the vote to be extended to our 16 and 17-year-olds.
“This is history,” said Make It 16 co-director Caeden Tipler. “Today New Zealand’s highest court has confirmed that stopping young people from voting is a breach of our human rights...The government and Parliament cannot ignore such a clear legal and moral message. They must let us vote.”

Neighbours be aware that a bio security company is working in our area looking over sections for noxious plants.
If you are at risk of Covid, have your masks ready as they are not wearing masks when they chat with you about what they found on your land. Covid 19 is on the rise again.

24,068 new cases last week. Our epidemologists are saying it is a 3rd wave.

Great size and I will miss her.
Supported on metal legs and has a dodgy hinge that gives her character that, once fixed, will make you very happy you found her.
Pick up from Morningside.

With public celebrations taking place following the All Blacks (men's) Rugby World Cup wins (2011 & 2015) as well as parades for the America's cup team, do you think similar celebration plans are needed for our winning Black Ferns women?
