Now more than ever, the fern seems to best capture the spirit of our country. If we look to our Māori roots, we are reminded of the twist or pikorua which resembles two intertwined pikopiko ferns - a fern known for thriving in dark, damp areas of our woods. A reminder that difficult conditions can actually be an opportunity for tremendous growth.
The entanglement of the pikorua also has no beginning or end which is often used to represent an everlasting bond. Although we are all on our own path in life, in the end we always come back together - we are all connected through our interwoven lives.

Take note there is no initiative like that from the government. Send this on your neighborhood group chat. They are everywhere and they look presentable.

This week, Auckland Regional Public Health Service confirmed there were now nine confirmed cases across the region.
Four of the five new cases were linked to existing cases as they shared a household, but one was not linked. The woman, in her 40s, visited a number of supermarkets and a cafe.

A new playground for residents of Flat Bush’s Donegal Glen development has been given a $40,000 head start. The Hugh Green Group made the donation so extra features could be added. The group is also developing the playground, which is funded by Howick Local Board.
