Peninsula by Gary Henderson: Directed by Kristof Haines.

Set on the Banks Peninsula, South Island, in the 1960’s. This is a warmhearted and open-eyed snapshot of life in New Zealand’s 20th century rural communities.
An insightful glimpse into the concerns, dreams and joys of childhood.

The story centres around Michael Hope, a young boy,  who lives on a volcano. While geological rumblings may remain deep underground, unrest in the adult world threatens to erupt into his life, changing everything.

Peninsula is a bittersweet coming of age story, rich with Kiwi nostalgia, brought to you by 5 talented actors who play two characters each - one young and one older.

Price $25 per person, afternoon tea included
RSVP by 8th August to Mary on 094180183 or email hillmary@extra.co.nz

I'm not so confident with that repair and I'd rather just buy a new fridge than shell out to have someone repair it, so now the fridge needs a new home, hopefully to someone who can use it for parts (seriously, those door seals have been on only a week- they can't be wasted!) or who wants to replace the temperature control panel and net themselves a great fridge. 1690mm high X 650mm deep X 640mm wide. Currently it is still working but the freezer compartment is getting frosty and the fridge temp is fluctuating, so it will need a repair or be used for parts. I've put it on TradeMe, but thought I'd post here too. Please check it out if you're interested:

Pick up only from Takapuna, I can't deliver but I can help you get it down the stairs!
