Hi Neighbours,

If you are looking for an activity to do with your children and help NZ scientists gather data on NZ bird populations in gardens, the NZ garden bird survey is on between the 27th and the 5th of July. All you need to do is count the number of birds and bird types in your garden or park for an hour. You can find all the information at the following link, including pictures of birds you might see:
gardenbirdsurvey.landcareresearch.co.nz...
This project has been running since 2007 and is relying on kiwi spotting skills to determine the health of our birds in our backyard. Please share with friends and family!

Inorganic collections were paused due to COVID19. But we are now resuming the service on 1 July 2020, so don’t delay book your inorganics collection today.

On your collection day, please check:
• There is no more than one cubic metre of material
• Items are easy to access within the boundary of your property
• Items can be easily lifted by two people (less than 55kg)
• There are no hazardous items in your load.

It's as easy as that.

With your help, we can all participate to make Auckland zero waste to landfill by 2040.
