Next week we're sitting down with one of Auckland Transport's network planners to run through the key changes heading commuters' way under the North Shore's new bus network, which will be launching on September 30. Do you have any burning questions you'd like us to ask AT about the changes? What do you dislike or like about the new network? Will you be jumping on the bus more or returning to your car? Please put NFP in your post if it is not for publication.

Hi North Shore,

Are the bus changes in your community about to impact your daily commute? From September 30, six bus services from the East Coast Bays will feed into stations on the Northern Busway, rather than running directly into the city. East Coast Bays residents also faced three bus stop closures and 25 bus stops changing from general to school-bus only.

What are your thoughts on the changes? Do you take the bus? Will the changes benefit you or instead force you to drive more often?

It's a fundraiser for Kidscan who provide life essentials - food, coats, shoes - to less privileged kids, in association with my just-published book 'I Am Super Me.' (A donation from each book sold goes to KidsCan.) My beautifully illustrated book is written for 3 to 7 year-olds to help them develop the important mindset that they have the power to pursue their dreams with confidence that yes, they CAN achieve them! Kids love the idea of 'Super heroes' so the idea of a Super Me really appeals! The event is called 'KIDS CAN BE SUPER ME!' at Outram Hall, Murrays Bay - tickets $35 from iTicket - and we'll enjoy entertainment, afternoon tea and an auction. Any contributions especially from shops that can be auctioned are most welcome! Please contact me - Sylvia, 021 259 4491 or sjv3@xtra.co.nz Love to see you there!

A man whose dog suffered puncture wounds in an attack by an unregistered, pit bull-type dog is calling for Auckland Council to do more to target owners of illegal dogs.

In 2016-2017, Auckland Council's animal management officers responded to 38,000 complaints about dogs. The top three complaints included roaming dogs (18,000), barking (8300) and unregistered dogs (2000).

Local Government Official Information and Meetings Act released that more than 7000 out of Auckland's 100,000 dogs were unregistered last year.

"I am doing all the things I am suppose to do, but there are people who are not responsible dog owners who are getting away with no punishment," North Shore dog owner Nathan Purches said.
