Often when an urgent visit to a doctor is needed, the problem or condition can be very uncomfortable. This could include an injury to yourself or your child; or an illness during which you experience a sore throat or headache, or a high fever, making you feel absolutely miserable.

It is understandable that you hesitate to “mask” the symptoms, and strong medications can indeed risk this; BUT it is always safe, acceptable and desirable to take the recommended dose of Paracetamol before you come to see us.

Just remember to tell our triage nurse what dose you have already taken; or given to your child and the time it was taken. If possible, keep a note of the temperature you recorded before the medicine was given and give our nurse this information.

Serious conditions will still be reliably diagnosed and the whole experience of being assessed, waiting to see the doctor and then moving about during a thorough examination, will be much less painful and stressful e.g. a sprained ankle or thumb needs to be pulled in various ways to assess the damaged ligament to find out if the joint is still stable; a small feverish child needs their ears checked and will be frightened if the ear is very painful.

Even if the problem turns out to serious and you are told you should be “nil by mouth”; because you may need surgery, taking Paracetamol will not delay your treatment.

Please stick to the recommended dose and do not take it more frequently than every 4 hours.

Hundreds of thousands of inexpensive items that pass through the retail giant's checkouts every year, so it's only to be expected there will be recalls – Kmart even has a recalls page on its website, and there are 31 products on the list.

The $55 timber Occasional Chair is the latest casualty, although this is a withdrawal rather than a recall. We don't know the reason for its withdrawal, except Kmart says it is for "a potential quality issue". But what other products have been found wanting?

Selling my dependable 2007 Subaru Legacy 2.0R (twin cam) as I have bought a new car and cannot afford to run two!

First NZ owner of this car.

Safety features include:

- 5 airbags

- ABS

- power steering

- Subaru's famous all wheel drive system
It's incredibly practical due to its length and width, and you can easily fit surf boards and/or bikes in the back.
The car is currently fitted with two STI (Subaru's performance division) dual tip mufflers, making the car sound a bit deeper, however not irritatingly loud. the difference is more or less unnoticeable when driving.
The car also has a full set of Bilstein shocks which I believe are from a Legacy spec B model. These were fitted by the previous Japanese owner. They provide a slightly stiffer ride, allowing the car to handle smoothly and sharply with minimal body roll. Not to be confused with racing springs - you won't need a back operation after a long drive.
- Car was serviced about 3 months ago.
- Wof till 2020

Cons:
- Car was built in 2007 and it has been driven, it does have scratches although the paint still looks shiny and presentable after a nice wash!
- It has a few minuscule dings (see pics)
- curbing
- minor interior faults
Will consider offers within reason.
