From March 1, it will cost rural communities more to fill up their water tanks.
The cost to fill a tanker with 10,000 litres of water will rise by about $25 from $13.86 to $39 (+GST).
It reflects the cost of providing water at filling stations- a service which has been heavily subsidised for many years, Watercare says.
The new charge comes into force during the summer peak to reduce pressure on rural and coastal communities.

Base has wheels - 1x has been replaced by a wood “footing”, 1x wheel is detached but screws in and still functional - base is completely usable and stands square (see photos).
