“This was a violent attack where the actions of the offender far outweighed the minor altercation that lead to the attack and he needs to be held to account. We urge anyone who witnessed either incident, or recognises the man in the image to contact police immediately,” said Detective Senior Sergeant Lloyd Schmid.

The festival happens on Saturday, 23 and Sunday, 24 March at Western Springs Park.
Pasifika is one of Auckland’s longest-running and most popular events, celebrating the diverse cultures of Tāmaki Makaurau’s Pacific whanau.
Stalls operate from 9am – 5pm, Saturday 23 March and 10am – 4pm, Sunday 24 March 2019. Stall sites are available for food and retail, or to promote community organisations and businesses. There are one and two-day options for stall sites.
