This update is not yet shown on the Murrays Bay Intermediate website.

Main update I noticed: Lavery place and adjoining streets have been added to the list.
A few other newly developed streets have also been added.

This update has apparently been made in response to an Official Information Act request. See the OIA documents here (dated 14 April 2023):

WHY YOU SHOULD PLAY WITH US THESE HOLIDAYS

* REASON 5 # WE LEARN NEW SKILLS *

Unstructured Play in Nature is the best way for children to develop their physical skills, as it provides them with a variety of opportunities to move their bodies and engage in physical activity.

By engaging in outdoor play regularly, children can build their strength, endurance, balance, coordination, and overall physical well-being.
- Balance and coordination: Nature offers many different surfaces and terrain, such as rocks, logs, and hills, which can challenge children's balance and coordination as they navigate their way through these obstacles.
- Strength and endurance: Climbing trees, hiking through trails, and other outdoor activities can help children build their strength and endurance, which can improve their overall fitness and well-being.
- Gross motor skills: Running, jumping, throwing, and other physical activities that are common in outdoor play can help children develop their gross motor skills, which are essential for movement and physical activity.
- Fine motor skills: Even simple activities like picking up stones, twigs, and leaves can help develop children's fine motor skills, as they use their fingers and hands to manipulate objects and explore their environment.

WHY YOU SHOULD PLAY WITH US THESE HOLIDAYS

* REASON 6 # WE MAKE NEW FRIENDS *

The Social Benefits are countless - Nature Play is a great way to encourage collaboration and cooperation, it also helps foster trust and respect among friends because children learn how important it is for everyone involved in the play. Children can make up their own adventures as they go along or join in on one of the many ones already being played by other kids. Playing in Nature also encourages communication skills as it provokes children to communicate with each other if they want their ideas heard and understood by everyone else in the woods.

Just so you all know I have Butcher Jacks as my local butcher and John is in Wairau Valley.

I get fabulously good meats - especially good offal for my doggo that I can't get from Countdown Online (bless them).

John delivers and I even get beef bones for said dog.

I can also get eggs and even sauces. Don't neglect your local butcher. My mother's second hubby was a butcher and boy could he cook tripe and dumplings! Don't neglect your local butcher.

I have no incentive to promote my local butcher other than to say they can give us stuff the supermarkets don't.
