Planning took place over the previous six weeks where the students formulated their dish concepts. Practical cooking sessions enabled them to test and try out their culinary ideas and refine their dishes.
These efforts were boosted by the reflections of our Head Chef Finn Gybel and his stories of when he had competed in Denmark nearly 20 years ago. Back then, our Chef Finn was sous chef to René Redzepi, now rated as one of the great chefs of the world.
As a result, we won 1 Gold, 2 Silver and 2 Bronze medals.

Just a week after the All Blacks produced a miracle 39-37 victory over the Wallabies in Melbourne, fans of both teams had strong feelings about how Saturday night’s crucial Rugby Championship match would go.
For couple Kerry Lane and Kate Spencer-Smith, the question of who would win caused some debate as they each supported the opposing side.

According to findings, the more you drink before bed, the more pronounced these effects. REM sleep happens about 90 minutes after we fall asleep. It's the stage of sleep when people dream, and it's thought to be restorative. Disruptions in REM sleep may cause daytime drowsiness, poor concentration, and rob you of needed ZZZs.
Alcohol may seem to be helping you to sleep, as it helps induce sleep, but overall it is more disruptive to sleep, particularly in the second half of the night if taken repeatedly.
Alcohol also suppresses breathing and can cause sleep apnea," or breathing pauses that occur throughout the night.
Studies prove that using alcohol as a sleeping aid can result in insomnia in the long run. However a drink or two here and there taken in a moderate quantity is of no harm.
