This issue is packed with good reads and amazing offers from our friends and partners. We take a close look at urban farmer Freeman Farms, and visit an Auckland coastal garden that the owner waited three long decades to create as well as a Dunedin garden where they’ve grown flowers for nearly 50 years. We're still on the hunt for our Houseplant Hero, thanks to our friends at Yates and Kings Plant Barn. Nominations are now open for our 2020 Ryman Healthcare Gardener of the Year too! There’s a feature on walnut growers in NZ, highlights of new roses coming out this year and of course, details on how to get yourself $20 worth of free bulbs from NZ Bulbs.

This is a free event which will be held on Saturday 18 July in the St Mary’s College Cecilia Maher Hall here at 11 New Street, Ponsonby, Auckland.
The aim of the Talanoa is to provide support for young people to help them thrive at school and within their families and communities. There will be wonderful guest speakers including past pupils Lupesina Koro and Nele Kalolo, as well as food and entertainment.
As this is our first Talanoa, we are in need of a small amount of financial support to help us bring it all together. If you can help in any small way please email jsheehan@stmaryak.school.nz
We will also provide great recognition for your support both pre and post-event.

You can be part of the solution and do you bit for your community, your city, and the planet by installing a rainwater harvesting system. Capture water from your roof and store it in retention tanks so you can recycle it - water the garden, wash your car, even use it as grey water. There is no better time to install one, with water restrictions in place; Auckland Council have just scrapped the resource consent fees, so get in quick - our team is happy to help!
Check out the links for more information on Topline's services as well as the latest news from Auckland Council about rainwater harvesting systems.
