Track Renewal Underway

Bob Lang from Kauri Glen Bush Society Inc

Great News! Kauri Glen Stage 3 Track Development is underway next month. This stage connects Tui Glen and Raymond Terrace through to Kauri Glen Road. It includes a 3-span glulam bridge over the main gulley and new boardwalks to form a high grade, step-free link through the bush between the Pupuke Road and Onewa Road catchments. The project will take until June-July next year.
However for this period of construction, the route will be completely closed for the saftey of the Public and contractors so users will need to plan for alternative means of travel around the Reserve. The only route available through the bush will be the track between Kauri Glen Road and Gladstone Road through to Woodside Avenue and Lake Road.

Poll: Do you think banning gang patches is reasonable?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

With the government cracking down on gangs, it is now illegal for gang members to display their insignia in public places whether through clothing or their property.

This means arrests can be made if these patches are worn in places like restaurants, shops, on public transport or ferries, and on airplanes. Arrests were made recently at a funeral.

Do you think this ban is reasonable?
