I just found out that 80 Litre bins that are put out for emptying are meant to have BLUE tags attached to them. The cost of these BLUE tags is $2.60. Whenever we've gone to purchase these tags the only ones available were ORANGE ones; these cost $3.60. The cost of these BLUE tags is $2.60. Whenever we've gone to purchase these tags the only ones available were ORANGE ones; these cost $3.60. It appears to be the same for just about everyone else in the neighbourhood because I don't recall seeing ANY BLUE tags on ANY rubbish bins so the Auckland City Council appears to be making a nice little (or large) profit at the public's expense.

I just want to let people know that if you need firewood out west, try Comer firewood. It may take a few days for delivery, but their prices are reasonable and you won't incur a delivery fee if you order 2 cu metres.
