To enable high-quality care, and for the overall health of our patients, we must balance the needs of our patients and visitors.
To achieve this we have introduced flexible visiting. This means:
● One key support person who may visit between 8am – 8pm
● Overnight visiting (8pm – 8am) – compassionate grounds only
● Visiting hours for whaanau are 2pm - 8pm – two visitors per patient
● No children under 16 years – unless approved on compassionate grounds
● Take away food for patients must not be brought onto the premises
● Registration of visitors will occur at hospital entrances
We ask if you are unwell, do not visit.

Building on last year’s leadership workshops presented by L E A D – the Centre for Not For Profit Governance and Leadership; FREE lunchtime interactive online training sessions are being offered to leaders who aspire to delve deeper.
This training has two parts:
Part 1 : 4 Interactive Sessions
1. Leading Virtually
The last few months has taught us we can do a lot online. This workshop will explore how to build a
team when teams aren’t always in the room together and how to facilitate quality relationship
focussed meetings on-line.
2. Managing Volunteers
Volunteers are not just free labour. They create the spirit of our organisations. This workshop will
look at tools and models to make volunteering a positive experience for both the volunteers and
your organisation.
3. Planned Outcomes – Measuring the work we do
How do we actually know we are making a difference? This important for not only us to know but
our funders and other stakeholders too. Simple tools will be presented in this workshop that can do
this in a straightforward way.
4. Fundraising Strategy
Getting beyond day to day survival requires a big picture approach. By the end of this workshop you
will have a draft framework for moving your organisation towards sustainability.
Part 2: Facilitated leadership collaboration group meetings and peer mentoring training
To enable support and collaboration and building a self-sustaining community sector.
Please register by Friday 19 June (or queries) through to:
Facilitator: Sandy Thompson: sandy@lead.org.nz
