Hi everyone, as an FYI, last year, I wrote to Auckland Council requesting they install surveillance cameras on Dunkirk Road in #Panmure to stop the mass illegal dumping. I have now been informed that because of these cameras, Dunkirk Road is no longer a hot spot and dumping reports have subsided.
… View moreHi everyone, as an FYI, last year, I wrote to Auckland Council requesting they install surveillance cameras on Dunkirk Road in #Panmure to stop the mass illegal dumping. I have now been informed that because of these cameras, Dunkirk Road is no longer a hot spot and dumping reports have subsided.
Council and the local Community Patrol will continue to monitor the area, alongside Police at their normal frequency. If you see or continue to hear about dumped rubbish, please call 0800 NO DUMP (0800 663 867).

Maritime NZ Northern Regional Compliance Manager, Neil Rowarth, said Mr Hutchings had put the lives of others in danger by acting recklessly.
The collision caused all three people on board Mr Hutchings’ boat, Maraetai Star, to fall to the deck. Mr Hutchings was knocked unconscious and received a broken nose. One crew member was also rendered unconscious and received a cut to his head while the other crew member suffered a bruised hip.
