Good places for breakfast?

Sarah Neighbourly Lead from Remuera

Hey neighbours - I've lived in Remmers for about 10 years but tend to head to the same cafés for breakfast and I'm looking to explore some new spots. Any recommendations? (Will travel for a good brekkie and partial to a good French Toast!) Thanks

Poll: Should NZ schools have gender-neutral uniforms?

Sarah Reporter from Stuff

A new law in Wales says schools are required to have gender-neutral uniforms.

This means that while uniforms can include both skirts and pants, schools can't label these as "girls" or "boys" items.

Should NZ follow suit?

Hi Neighbours,

Thank you to everyone who joined us last night at our Crime in Onehunga Public Meeting. Despite the dreary weather, we had a fantastic turnout of 90 people with 16 new sign-ups for Onehunga Community Patrols! A special thank you to Constable Don Allan for your time and speaking on such an important matter.

As some of you will know, this meeting was held in response to the recent spate of assaults in the local area, which were in no way related. Arrests have been made for the first two attacks, and Police continue to investigate the 3rd.

I provided an update on Wilson who is currently in Te Whetu Tawera, the Auckland Mental Health unit, and is being provided the proper care. He is still shaken from the events, but is overwhelmed by the community support. We started a card last night for everyone to sign and send their wishes to him. If you were unable to sign and would like to, please visit the Onehunga Business Association on Onehunga Mall. The card will be there on the counter for you.

We learnt that crime stats in Onehunga have been slowly decreasing over the past couple of years, and that 5% of perpetrators commit 95% of the crime. Police cannot achieve results alone, however. The support of crime prevention volunteer groups and the community is crucially important to combined success. We need to remain vigilant, look out for our neighbours, and know when to report any suspicious activity. Community groups to get involved in include Onehunga Community Patrols and Neighbourhood Support.

We also handed out a safety information document to everyone, alongside important safety contact numbers. If you would like a copy of either, please contact my office on 0800 DENISEMP or deniseleemp@parliament.govt.nz.

Selling my Piaggio MP3 400ie, 2013.
Passed WOF on 20/05/2020. Rego valid till 25/01/2020.

In excellent condition with very less kilometres run (just 16k). Well looked after with regular timely servicing from authorised workshops only. Couple of marks/scratches, which are hardly noticeable, nothing major.

I bought this bike after having several near-miss accidents on my previous 2 wheeled scooter and it has never let me down. It has marvellous rider stability. The 3 wheels/tyres grips the road even on wet conditions making it perhaps the safest bike on road.

It has one of the best braking in bike world thanks to the disc brakes on all the three wheels, making it the safest one on road even in wet and slippery roads. It also has additional parking brake on the rear disc brakes.

The front dual wheels makes the drive very smooth and extremely stable. Even on Motorways it drives excellent and with just half throttle it speeds to over 100kmph, with a max speed of 180kmph. Good rider comfort for longer commutes. Being a 400cc engine, it has much more power than it other variants of 250 or 300cc in the market.

New Givi windshield with adjustable height. You can also have the original windshield as spare one.

Dual access to the underseat compartment which is capable of storing two helmets

Electronic front suspension locking system to park the vehicle without using a centre stand
Engine size – 399cc, 34bhp, 4-stroke CVT liquid cooled.
Electronic fuel injected system, never fails even on cold wintery days.
Top speed – 180kmph
Weight – 244 kgs
Fuel capacity – 12 ltrs
Tyre size – 12” front (120/70-12) and larger 14” rear (140/70-12) wheel
Front brakes – 2 x 240mm disc, twin piston floating callipers
Rear brake – 240mm disc, twin opposed-piston calliper with cable-actuated parking brake.
Adjustable rear suspensions.

12V power outlet in the storage under seat for charging the phones etc (not available in 250 or 300cc models).

You can buy with confidence and peace of mind. Comes with original factory spare key and owner’s manual.

Price: $7,000
