- Fire is causing a large plume of toxic smoke and South Auckland residents were advised to close all windows and doors and wear a mask as a precaution. The wind has now changed and Greenlane, Ellerslie, Mt Wellington and Penrose are also affected.
- King's College in ΕtΔhuhu is closed today due to the smoke.
- Aucklandβs train network is completely down with KiwiRail asked to evacuate its control centre.

We have a wonderful teacher Gabi - she leads a joyful dance class. I have been going regularly to Zumba for several years, it is really fun, even if like me you are not very coordinated. Gabi has a lovely un-judging and welcoming attitude. Also she is a fabulous dancer and she won best Samba dancer in Australasia!
