The Ministry is trying to change the designation from Care and … View moreIn Weymouth we have a Care and Protection Residence for up to 14 year olds in Weymouth Road (Whakatakpoki) which the Ministry of Children no longer needs because they have a change of policy in dealing with Care and Protection. The Ministry is trying to change the designation from Care and Protection to a youth prison for up to 19 year olds and increasing the number of inmates by 50% in a densely populated area, with young families, schools and childcare facilities close by. Existing Youth Prisons are all sited away from densely populated residential areas. The Local Board are against it, our Local Auckland Councilors are against it, the residents association is against it. However OUR local MP for Manurewa LOUISA WALL has stated she is 100% in favour of it. I am trying to inform as many of her constituents as I can so they can see how she supports the local community (NOT). Needless to say she doesn't live in the immediate vicinity of the proposed prison. I don't remember seeing this proposed change in the local paper. The issue is currently being heard in the Environment Court and the neighbourhood are up against the resources of the Government, The Ministry for Children (and the local MP). There are already two prisons, a youth justice residence and drug treatment centre in the local area so we are not NIMBYs.

I have had Patches from a 6 week old kitten, she is now 12 years old. She is my companion and has always been tuned into my moods eg., if I have been sad she will always come and sit and cuddle with me. Now I want to help her in her time of need.

For those who don't follow the biblical path Then A Watchmen in one or many to serve the Lord by Watching over the people and warning them of incoming Dangers, Threats and of others meaning to do harm. So when i make a post or reply out to the neighborhoods on Social Media Warning others to protect their information when taking online Competitions I usually include the host of that competition So i was quite concerned when i made a reply Alerting Neighbourly Users to watch for scammers when taking another of neighbourlys hosted competition with a paint company, only to find the warning was taken off via the Neighbourly Team, The huge Question came up, What were they Hiding? Under the freedom of speech one could argue but then look at neighbourlys policies they have the exclusive right to edited subtract of deny any post made via any member of Neighbourly.co.nz. And as they are owned via a Mainstream Media Corporation who uses the freedom of speech act to publish their own its funny how on their own services like Neighbourly that is not the case. Although I am still wondering what they are hiding? Our littlest people need your help. Poverty doesn’t start at 5, but until now there’s been no nationwide programme to help preschoolers who are hungry and cold.
KidsCan is changing that. They’re delivering raincoats, shoes and five fresh meals a week to 25 early childhood centres. Attendance is up, and the children are happier and more settled.
"Everyone has the same meal so children don't feel like they have less," Manaia View Kindergarten teacher Kathy Belz says. "It's upholding everyone's mana.”
