Most Kiwis are entitled to five days of sick leave a year, but some - often those in lower paid jobs - get less.
New Zealand’s minimum sick leave allowance is one of the lowest in the OECD. In Australia they get 10 days, in most European countries it’s even more.
Should Kiwis be entitled to more sick leave?

This is the changing face of housing in our suburbs as determined by Auckland's Unitary Plan. But this pioneering project in Sandringham is for renters, not buyers.

Hope everyone is having a great winter weekend.
I am currently looking for a home cleaner.
I live in Glenross Drive, Wattle Downs.
Our main areas of cleaning are the kitchen, bathroom, general dusting, vacuuming, and grooming throughout the house.
Approximately should take 1.5 to 2 hours per clean. Looking at fortnightly cleaning.
Home is generally kept very neat and tidy, with no young kids or pets in the house.
Any good recommendations or references would be greatly appreciated.
I can be contacted on 027 246 9570.
Thank you,
Shashi

They still have loads of cases and it will mean that anyone coming from Australia will need to go into lock down for 2 weeks. This will mean that most holiday makers will think twice of coming here as they will need 3 weeks to have 1 week of holiday. Going back will also be placed into lock down.
If we go there (I am not sure) but I believe they have a 2 week lock down period as well. They may waive it for NZ as we do seem to have the C-19 more or less under control.
So my logic (can be totally way off):-
1. Waste 2 to 4 weeks to have a holiday - getting only 4 weeks holiday in a year it is not a viable option.
2. Businesses will not have their key staff "waste" time by being not accessible. They will have virtual meetings as was done during L4 and L3.
3. Imports and exports can still continue as it has in the past 3 months.
They only industries that will really benefit is the 5 star hotels that have their facilities being used as quarantine facilities.
My family is going to Queenstown for the 1st time in 16 years as we know that it will be busy but NOT hectic as in normal holiday periods.
I feel for all the people involved in the hospitality, but do believe more locals will be visiting the beautiful places in NZ that they will not normally go too.
We are all really lucky to call NZ our home, lets support local
