E-waste Collection
Bring all your old TVs, computers, monitors, cables, keyboards, mobile phones, printers and electrical household appliance such as dishwashers and vacuum cleaners. Anything electrical or electronic that you want to get rid of. Also old batteries, clean polystyrene and cardboard will be collected for recycling.
10am-1pm, Saturday 29 April at the Cedar Centre carpark.
$10 per boot load, $10 per car load, $50 per trailer load.
This event is organized by Rotary Birkenhead in partnership with Abilities Group.
Poll: Do you think banning gang patches is reasonable?
With the government cracking down on gangs, it is now illegal for gang members to display their insignia in public places whether through clothing or their property.
This means arrests can be made if these patches are worn in places like restaurants, shops, on public transport or ferries, and on airplanes. Arrests were made recently at a funeral.
