Onepoto Domain Pond Path Approved

John Gillon from John Gillon - Kaipatiki Local Board

Here's a little bit of positive news: Before the lockdown, the Kaipatiki Local Board approved the concept plan for a new path in Onepoto Domain, away from the pond edge (see attached plan). The current path is often unusable due to flooding.
There will be a new connection to the picnic area and existing path/pond wall. The northern-most portion of the existing path will be replaced with plantings as this is the most flooded part.
The project is now going into the detailed design and consenting phases, before physical works begin (date to be confirmed).

Poll: Do you think banning gang patches is reasonable?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

With the government cracking down on gangs, it is now illegal for gang members to display their insignia in public places whether through clothing or their property.

This means arrests can be made if these patches are worn in places like restaurants, shops, on public transport or ferries, and on airplanes. Arrests were made recently at a funeral.

Do you think this ban is reasonable?
