Hi neighbours,

How have you been passing the time during lockdown?

With Auckland back in Level 3, most of us are back working from the kitchen table, juggling work, school and childcare - simultaneously for some.

Last year, Stuff reported on the great array of hobbies New Zealanders picked up during the lockdown, such as home workouts and learning a few new cooking hacks. PC gaming also proved popular with Google search trends for March 2020 showing a 400 per cent search increase for the term.

What are you going to be up to during Level 3? Share your thoughts below and don't forget to type NFP if you don't want your comment featured in the conversations section of the Western Leader.

Dear Wayne,

Due to the new community cases of Covid-19 and the changes to Alert levels throughout the country, the Heart Foundation has made the hard decision to cancel this year’s Big Heart Appeal Street Collection.

Your health and safety has to be our priority. We are so very grateful to you, and thousands of other big-hearted New Zealanders that generously offered their time to collect for us on Friday February 19 and Saturday February 2021.

The Big Heart Appeal is our largest public fundraising campaign of the year and we are incredibly disappointed that we can’t proceed. Funds raised from the Big Heart Appeal Street Collection go towards life-saving heart research and supporting our loved ones who are living with heart disease.
I am sorry, but has been cancelled.
If you go to the "Heart Foundation" you can still leave a donation
Thank you to ALL.

To the person or persons whose dog* left a steaming fresh turd in the middle of the footpath outside Tatua Ink in Great North Road in Avondale less than fifteen minutes ago.

Don’t worry, someone else will clean up after you, like they always do.

The socially responsible thing to do is to pick your dog’s* defecatory deposits and dispose of them, but, nah, it’s all good, some other dumb bugger will do that, why should you bother?

This is why we can’t have nice things.

Sort yourself out.

* note that I’m being charitable and assuming thus crap came from a canine - I wouldn’t be surprised if it was from a human, frankly.
