This is a local infrastructure project that will one day provide a link between the Manukau and Waitemata harbours and run from Te Atatu to Green Bay. It will open up our suburb to the river and will be a great asset to the area and Auckland.

The feedback provided will govern the design aspects of the whole pathway. They are looking for helpful feedback around the design and possible locations of features along the pathway.

The link for feedback is akhaveyoursay.aucklandcouncil.govt.nz....

This construction phase will only be for small areas of the whole pathway. These are the areas that have so far secured funding. They are looking to start this work next year and look to complete by 2024.

The deadline for feedback is by December 20th.

For further information on the pathway, you can look on the Te Whau trust webpage tewhaupathway.org.nz....

I’m a volunteer with a humanitarian aid group based in Auckland (www.onenessheart.org... ) and one of our colleagues, an ICU nurse working in the Emergency Rooms in a hospital in Queens, NY, recently proposed sharing artistic posters and banners with messages of hope and encouragement to institutions around the world, especially to institutions serving children, like schools and pediatric hospitals.

The organization is also using these banners and posters to support health professionals for their tireless contributions during this challenging planetary moment. Reading these positive affirmations has inspired countless people who see them and reflect on them, letting these small gems enter their hearts and re-inspire their lives.

Please feel free to contact me anytime for a full catalogue of these paintings and peace-themed quotations poster for your selection. We have these posters available in high resolution images. Your can print these posters yourself or we can print to size. We are very happy to offer these to your organisation at no cost, for placement wherever you deem appropriate.

Attach here are some samples, along with feedback and comments from medical staff in participating hospitals in Italy, Germany and US.

An incredible, heartwarming and heartbreaking, but totally honest life story from the wonderful GP, Liz Fitzmaurice posted on Stuff.
www.stuff.co.nz...

I love the moving and sometimes relatable feelings, thoughts and the real life emotions; but above all, the no-nonsense approach to today's health climate crisis - Covid.

Her calm, but well reasoned approach, is the exact calmness we all seem to have lost in this wild ocean of anger and despair currently happening in this mad Covid world, that we all really need right now. Thank you Liz🥰

My favourite quote from Liz, that is in this article reads:
"When people write of “personal freedom,” it seems to read like they are actually speaking of “personal privilege”.

She is fully in support of vaccine mandates to protect vulnerable people like her.

I wish her well and nothing but good, kind caring people to surround her during her time of need as well as happiness for the rest of her life, all that she deserves (and then some more).

💗💗BLESS YOU AND THANK YOU SO MUCH LIZ FITZMAURICE💗💗

Just had a thought this morning and would appreciate your opinions. The Government is possibly opening up for hairdressers to open from next week (good for them) and I can see that the Government wants to test the Vaccination Certificate. But wat about doctors. My doctors surgery is STILL operating under phone consultations rather than going to see the doctor. They have the proper PPE. I just find it unbelievable. I can go and get my ears de-waxed, go to get my hearing aids fitted and have x-rays. What's happening - there doesn't seem to be any consistency. Your opinions would be appreciated

A runner will complete seven marathons in as many days to raise money for underprivileged children.

West Auckland man Harrison Sanders, 23, said he wanted to experience a struggle, and encourage others to make a change with him.

“There are tens upon thousands of kiwis children that are going without food and the basic essentials to get by over this time of joy,” he said.

“So this year, I wanted to help out those who are in need over this time of joy.”

The primary school teacher will complete the runs from December 13 to 19, starting from Hobsonville School and running around west Auckland.

“The route will be the same every day, and I would love people to join in for parts of it whether it be running, biking, scootering, or even driving alongside,” Sanders said.

He has partnered with Pak n Save Westgate, Breaker and Tuatara Baseball, and every $100 raised will supply a child with a $75 Pak n Save voucher, $25 towards school stationary and a free sports ball.

Sanders previously ran 45km a week in the space of a year to raise money for mental health, alzheimers and epilepsy charities.

“Nothing prepares you for this amount though. So I look forward to the mental game I will be faced with,” he said.

“The route will be the same every day, and I would love people to join in for parts of it whether it be running, biking, scootering, or even driving alongside.”

He has set up a Givealittle to receive donations.
