Red Badge are searching for great people to join them in roles from large events to shopping centres. In our quest to find more cool people to work for our company, we asked Dan Fenton what he loves about working for Red Badge.

— Tell us about your role? —
I work in many roles at Red Badge from being a security guard, custodian, visitor host, corporate guard, team leader, to now as an Event Team Leader.

I have also worked as a Team Leader at Westfield Albany when Red Badge first won the contract.

As a custodian working for Red Badge I received the award for Security Guard of the Year in 2016.

— What would you miss most if you had to move on from Red Badge? —
Red Badge for me is like family. I enjoy what I do but most importantly I enjoy working with the people around me.

If you'd like to work in event security and event services, contact Red Badge. We've got great roles for more great people like Dan.

The damage being done to these old native trees is significant and I find it hard to see how people can feel it is ok for them to do such damage. These are old trees that have been there for a significant amount of time; Titoki, Kohekohe, Kanuka and Totara. While I was there two kids rode their bikes over and asked if I was going to report this to the council and asked why. I asked if they knew what can happen if you ride over the roots of trees like that and they said yes - they can die.
If anyone has seen people there sawing and damaging the trees, digging amongst the roots please can you say something or report this to the council? I have reported it and am awaiting the job number and the council are coming out to look at the damage shortly.
The stand of trees are at the end of Salisbury Street. Enter the park and turn left walking westward and the stand of trees is there.
The council job # I have been given after reporting this is NR60225740.

Join us on Monday 16/9 for a screening of Modified.

Aube Giroux (the filmmaker) and her mother embark on a very personal and poignant investigative journey to find out why genetically modified organisms (GMOs) are not labeled on food products in the United States and Canada, despite being labeled in 64 countries around the world.

Interweaving the personal and the political, the film is anchored in the filmmaker’s relationship to her mom, a gardener and food activist who battled cancer during the film's production.

Their intimate mother-daughter quest for answers, fuelled by a shared love of food, reveals the extent to which the agribusiness industry controls our food policies, making a strong case for a more transparent and sustainable food system.

A visual celebration of family legacy and the love of food, cooking, and gardening.
