I'd never want to cause one unnecessary pain or suffering, which is why we've chosen to manage pests in our home with traps. It's not ideal, but it's better - and safer - than poison. I've done a little research on humane, effective vermin control during the wet months, when they like to come in from the cold. Take a look:

#StoryOfPlastic takes a sweeping look at the man-made crisis of plastic pollution and the worldwide effect it has on the health of our planet and the people who inhabit it. Spanning three continents, the film illustrates the ongoing catastrophe: fields full of garbage, veritable mountains of trash, rivers and seas clogged with waste, and skies choked with the poisonous emissions from plastic production and processing. With engaging original animation, archival industry footage beginning in the 1930s, and first-person accounts of the unfolding emergency, the film distills a complex problem that is increasingly affecting the planet’s and its residents’ well-being.

We asked our guests to complete a questionnaire that included about what they liked about the wine: fruit? acid? mouthfeel? and then if they would buy the wine (as price is no object!).
The 5 top rated wines were:
Millton Chenin Blanc 2018
Kumeu River Hunting Hill Chardonnay 2018
Burn Cottage Pinot Noir 2016
Hans Herzog Tempranillo 2015
Pegasus Bay Finale Noble Sauvignon Semillon 2017
The 5 wines that people would buy were:
Millton Chenin Blanc 2018
Oak Estate Late Harvest Chardonnay 2018
Burn Cottage Pinot Noir 2016

Pegasus Bay Finale Noble Sauvignon Semillon 2017
Pegasus Bay Finale Noble Sauvignon Semillon was the resounding winner on both questions.
Just goes to show that many kiwis do have a sweet-spot for those luscious white wines...

As your local MP, I hold regular community meetings with informative speakers on a range of timely topics. We have hosted ambassadors, the Mayor, Reserve Bank Governors, animal welfare advocates and IRD tax experts.
Each year, I invite councillors serving the Epsom electorate to give a report on council activities. The decisions of the Council are often felt more acutely than those of central government, so it is important to hear from those making those decisions on our behalf.
On 24 July, I will be hosting Desley Simpson, the Auckland Councillor for the Orakei Ward at the Somervell Presbyterian Church 497 Remuera Road. The meeting will begin at 2:00pm, with light refreshments available from 1:30pm.
I do hope that you will be able to join me at what promises to be a most interesting presentation.
I am accepting pre-submitted questions so we can maximise the time available. Please email your questions to mpepsom@parliament.govt.nz.
Please register quickly to secure your place. You can register by calling 09 522 7464 or emailing mpepsom@parliament.govt.nz. Please note there is very limited parking available at the venue.
I do hope you will be able to join.

I'm working on a travel story for Stuff about the things that have surprised returning Kiwis about New Zealand. If you have recently returned from overseas or know someone who has, it would be great to hear about the things that have stood out for you, for better or for worse. Whether it's to do with the weather, the cost of things, the public transport, the food, the housing, the people or something else entirely, we'd be keen to hear about it. Please remember that your comment may be included in the article, unless you say you don't want it to be. Thank you.

Hi there
I have a lamp which needs an electrician to have a look and fix the cord maybe. Where is the best place that charge reasonable price for small jobs like that?
Thanks
