Since we ran 'Grisly discovery at creek' in our July 3 paper, we have had emails and phone calls from Browns Bay residents advising us people have been attempting, and sadly successfully catching, some of Taiaotea Creek's eels. This is despite eeling not being allowed in Auckland Council's parks or reserves. Have you come across people catching eels in your local stream?
