Where and when dogs can be let off the lead in Auckland could be set to change. Would you support most council parks being on-leash at all times? Do you take your dog to the local park and let it run around off-leash? www.stuff.co.nz...

Hi, I was wondering if anyone has any raised garden beds they no longer want and would like to give away or sell at a very reasonable price. We would like to grown our own vegetables and need some garden beds to use.

Back when we ran stories on eel poaching in Auckland's parks and reserves in July, a few of our readers got in touch via Neighbourly to tell us they had caught people killing ducks. We heard one story about an elderly man killing a duck at Lake Pupuke and another about a woman stuffing a duck in her handbag! We're looking for more of your stories about this awful occurrence for a follow-up story on suburban animal poaching. Have you caught people killing ducks in your neighbourhood park or reserve? Did you get in touch with Auckland Council to report it? Do you feel local authorities are doing enough to stop this type of cruel behaviour? Put NFP in your post if it is not for publication.

Auckland Transport said it was considering changes to Onewa Rd transit lane. Emails suggest otherwise.
www.stuff.co.nz... Have you ever submitted to a local board or council organisation on a local project? Would you expect AT to be honest with the elected members?

We're looking into ways we can all keep these costs down for a story on Homed and would love to hear from you if you have particularly large or small bills.
Do your power bills come in way higher than your friends and family? Do you know why, or does the amount always take you by surprise? Maybe, like the family who created an effective solar panel heater out of drink cans, or the blogger who enjoys free power generated by a converted washing machine, you've found a creative way to minimise your bills. If so, how do you do it?
Whether your bills are high and you're looking for ways to reduce them, or you have some secrets to low power bills that you're willing to share, we'd love to hear from you. Email homed@stuff.co.nz and one of our reporters will be in touch.
