The annual Neighbour's Day Aotearoa is running this week until March 30.
Held to encourage people to get their neighbours better, this year's theme is The Great Plant Swap.
The first 200 people to register their events will receive a packet of seeds donated by Kings Seeds.
Neighbours have held barbecues, community movie nights and beach clean-ups in previous years to mark Neighbour's Day Aotearoa.

But I also want to say a big thank you to the Luna Rosa Team whom have lived and worked alongside us Kiwi's to help keep the cup event alive even through this pandemic is causing havoc back in their homeland your crew and support people would have been worried day by day for friends and family back home but then having to keep focused on trying to win the America's cup, you may have lost the race but you have won a place in kiwis hearts and we hope that you will come back next time to race us again. NZ would also like to thank all the other race teams that have spent months or even years here preparing for the America's cup challenge. The court in Northcote, with stunning views of the Waitematā Harbour and Auckland City skyline, is the only lot on Ocean View Rd to have never been built upon.
The 1012 square metre plot of land was purchased by Raymond Russell for £500 in 1956, his daughter Michelle Russell told Stuff.
At the time, he earned just seven shillings and a sixpence per week.
Prior to the auction on Wednesday afternoon, Michelle Russell told Stuff she had decided to sell as the property had become too hard for her to maintain.
She was also mindful of the housing crisis, and thought the land would provide someone with the opportunity to “put something nice on there”.
“My dream is to sell it to someone who will love it."
