Free queen size mattress

Hi,
I have an old but very comfy mattress to give away, in very good state. It has some rips on the underside cover (couldn't take a good picture so just showing where it is more or less) as well as some small stains so by no means a new item BUT it's VERY comfortable and it has served us perfectly fine until now (only changing from a queen size bed in the spare room to a crib for the newcomer). So as long as you don't mind the aesthetics it will serve you too, we just don't have any storage space and don't need it anymore. Pick up Lynfield but if the pick up is the problem let us know and we might try to help.

Poll: Should Kiwis be entitled to more sick leave?

The Team Reporter from Stuff

With Covid-19 still a very real risk, people who are unwell are told to stay home, and to keep any sickly kids home too - but what if you don't have any more sick leave owing?

Most Kiwis are entitled to five days of sick leave a year, but some - often those in lower paid jobs - get less.

New Zealand’s minimum sick leave allowance is one of the lowest in the OECD. In Australia they get 10 days, in most European countries it’s even more.

Do you rent in Auckland?

Jo Haywood Reporter from Homed

Hey neighbours, the struggle to find affordable accommodation in the city isn't getting any easier is it? A recent flatmates wanted ad is offering a spot in a "bright and sunny" central Auckland apartment, for $220 a week - but you'd be sleeping in a corner of the living room.

The cordoned off space is listed as being suitable for a woman “looking for a place to crash”. You can read more about it, here. Would you consider a rental like this? What's the most extreme rental ad you've come across in Auckland?

Please this is not the place to leave such items, thanks
Unfortunately I was not in a position to get the clothes out of the elements tonight, but I will try tomorrow evening when I'm back in town. Hopefully they will still be able to be washed and passed on.
We have a revolving pantry outside Sylvia Park school The pantry is at approximately 19 Hamlin Rd, it's visual from the road. Take what you need give what you can.
Food donations greatly appreciated.
Please check the expiry dates, no partially used food or food that needs refrigerating.
💐THANKS💐
Someone asked what is useful for meals? My pantry has salt, sugar, flour, rolled oats, rice or pasta, milk powder, dried beans, vegetables & fruit. Tinned tomatoes, veges, fruit, beans, sardines/tuna, tinned meat, soup. These are all basics that can quickly be turned into a low cost meal. I have a friend who brings in the sauce sachets from takeaway places those are alway helpful for flavour. I bake but that's not an option for a lot of families and whose kid doesn't love lunch box fillers. If you have that "but you liked it last week" purchase sitting unused in your pantry pass it on along with Fruit from your trees Washing powder, toilet paper and dish liquid are also useful additions to any household.

Contains two big buckets for your rubbish and recycling. Well used but I’ve given it a quick clean. Foot pedal works but catch is a bit broken so sometimes the lid doesn’t come down again.
